Weekend Free For All

Well I haven't posted on a non-blog day in a while!
So I have been out of school for 2 weeks, it is very hard for me to believe. Let's see...Since coming home I have visited Kelsey at UW and hungout with my family...a lot. I actually haven't had any non-family social interaction in 1.03 weeks ( by this I mean hanging out with people my age). OMG, as much as I love Gig Harbor it is getting to me. I have been babysitting/chipping paint off of a building to keep me busy and biking/walking with my family when I get home. It is pretty exciting. Summer seems a lot lonelier than I remember. I am going to start nannying on a regular basis on monday, yeahh!! haha There are two boys 6 and 11. Boys are scary, they are terrifying and a lot to handle when they are little and then they grow up and never change. When I took my "test run" so to speak, on Monday I realized how much easier girls are to nanny. With girls you can just hang out and play with pets, have lemonade stands, go on errands but with boys no way. When I was there for a mere 5 hours we played chess, backgammon ( I still can't figure that game out), took out the ATV and Dirtbikes (OMG I thought this was going to be the end of my career as a nanny) played HORSE, kick the can and 1000, they showed me the Tae Kwando moves and how they can do cool skateboard tricks, we had lunch (yuum PB&J) and watched some Sponge Bob Squarepants. There weren't too many dilemmas except for when the younger boy whipped the older boy (with an actual bullwhip, I know! I have no idea why they have that!) Needless to say it will be an interesting summer. I went to costco with my parents today (whooo top of the line entertainment) and I only saw one person from high school...well 1.25 because I saw this kid who I thought I went to high school with but then I didn't think it was him and it didn't sound like him but it really really did look like him, so anyway my summer as a recluse is off to a great start. The only problem is tomorrow I am hanging out with Kelsey H. This is an event I am quite looking forward too, alas my social desires cramp my ability to never have social interaction again, we are going to make Vegan Pho (it can be done!) and watch Vertigo (that I rented from the library) in honor of it's 50th year anniversary. It takes place in San Francisco so it should be interesting to see how it looked 50 years ago. Well we have 78 days until School starts again. So Until then my friends,
Sleepless in Gig Harbor (that joke NEVER gets old)

Made Up Friends

I am sitting at a table with my new five made up friends. I believe that they are a result of all my travels and the fact that while I was in Mexico I was bit by a giant mosquito the size of Nevada. And since I do not have Mexican health insurance I was unable to see a qualified doctor. So instead I treated the wound myself with duct tape and Mexican water - it looks a bit better, the swelling has reduced significantly. Anyway, some of the symptoms that I have been experiencing have been massive, life-size hallucinations hence all the made up friends that I am sitting with right now.
I will make sure tomorrow when I get home to upload pictures of my adventures, and that wound that I have in the middle of my face - trust me, it might not look like it, but I assure you it is.

Much love, need to get back to my imaginary friends,
Ali

Sasquatch!

Lemme just say that you all must attend Sasquatch! with me sometime....cause it is amazing. There are too many wonderful things to blog about....but I'll try and tell you about most of the highlights. M.I.A. is the first on my mind, so I'll start there. JoAnna and I hung out in the pit for hours to get a good spot, which we did. We were in the third row from the front dead center. Sadly, there were many other people who wanted our spot and a deadly pushing and shoving game ensued. The result of this game was us moving about to the first row spot but still with three rows of people between us....needless to say it was very cramped...to the point I couldn't breathe. JoAnna ended up getting crowd surfed out because there was no oxygen and I almost got crushed to death in the middle of a push when I lost my balance and fell down (thankfully the person next to me pulled me back up right away). M.I.A.'s performance was amazing though...so fucking amazing....you have no idea, even though we almost died. JoAnna and I did live, obviously, although Jo lost her over-shirt and shoes and my feet are three sizes larger than normal because of all the bruises I received. The other show that really sticks out in my head is the Flaming Lips U.F.O. show. I cried. It was so good I cried. No words can describe how fucking beautiful it was. There was a UFO, and confetti, and Taps, and peace signs, and Teletubbies, and naked women, and a gigantic butterfly, and a crowd surfing bubble. You should really youtube it. Here are some pics from our amazing weekend.

Flaming Lips bubble!! He crowd surfed in it!

Confetti! at the Flamping Lips!

Tegan and Sara!! How I love love love them....!

Flaming lips set...the thing up top is a UFO

Teletubbies!

The Crowd

It rained....who knew recycling bags were so handy?

Cold War Kids....meh, kinda disappointing but still good

Mainstage

Beriut! Yay!!

Dwight!

Yup, so that was Sas! Now Ali is chilling in H-town with me and we are currently eating Jason Webley cake for Jonathan's 21st birthday! Tomorrow we are heading up to Plains to visit my Pop...so yup....that's life.

Good luck exploring the infinite abyss,

Me Casa es su Casa

Hey Friends! Well I miss each and everyone one of your faces! This blogging weeks seems to be off to a good start. We haven't missed anyone yet...although one person did take some convincing, West coast time prevails!! yeah!! Anywhoo, I thought that this blog could be a photo exploration of my house. Here Goes:

The Frontal View! My one story rambler.

Almond Rocca Moca- You can call him Rocca, or Sexy

Tubby! He sits like this a lot, it is weird. He also goes by Master Tubby.

The Back yard! Yeah! Hammock, deck and hot tub. My fav.

Dining Room!

Kitchen, where ALL of the wood matches.

My mother designed this bathroom and calls it her "mexican bathroom." It is..unique.

My Room! This is where the magic happens. As you can see Oliver is being squished but still alive. I used to have the same comforter that is on my bed at school, but then my cat pooped on it. Lolcatz.

2) The parental's Chambre. Shabby Chic I would say, a little bit country a little bit...creepy. Haha just kidding mom

3) The Parental's Bathroom. I do not go here very often. hahahaa

Well I hope some day you can all visit my house in real life. I do love it a lot, even if it is smallish. I left a couple of rooms out so when you come visit me you will get a bonus! (but they aren't bonus rooms) And I wasn't allowed to photograph my sister's room, she threatened to kill me and I was afraid my camera would melt.

Well until we meet in the flesh,
Kisses and misses,
Kailey

POOPY!

So Kailey texted me tonight and reminded me that I had to blog, ugh. This is because Laina ditched the blog for her own personal pleasure and for some reason I am left to pick up her slack- not fair! Also, it is 2:12 a.m. (Wednesday) so I should not technically be blogging. However, Kailey says that it goes by West Coast time due to majority. This is also not very fair. So I am proposing 1) we eliminate the assigned blog days because it defeats the purpose of blogging and half the people are not following it anyway 2) Laina do her own blogging 3) I can blog on my own damn time (which is East Coast Standard Time, you know the one that television and everything else that is important in this world goes by). Sorry, I'm cranky. I promise better blogs in the future.

Love,
Brice

Memorialz Dayz

Lolz catz. Wait, what? Ok guyz, so here'z the deal. Princezz is sick. She'z going to the vet tomorrow. But that wazn't what my blog waz going to be about.

Take two...

Hello friendulas!

I hope that you all had enjoyable Memorial Dayz in your various corners of the universe. Mine was quite enjoyable. I woke up earlyish this morning and drove about 2 1/2 hours to the coast, south of Lincoln City to Cape Perpetua with the fam-damn (minus Aaron). It was a very long carride in a very small car, but good bonding time nonetheless. So, we drove to this cape, but instead of pulling off at the visitor center where we were supposed to, we accidentally drove all the way to the lookout point instead of doing the hike. Oops! Epic fail. hahahahaah. So we got out anyway and did a little bit of hiking around that area but this supposed INCREDIBLE view of the ocean, where, on a clear day, you can see for 34 miles, was completely veiled in this thick, soupy foggy, misty crap. It was wonderful and hilarious. You literally wouldn't have even been able to tell that the ocean was right there if you couldn't have heard it. The day was incredibly moist, lush and green. The clouds were a delightful shade of charcoal and Oregon Spring was in full swing!! It was so lush and green and wonderful that I just wanted to eat it and drink it up (like in Land Before Time....remember that leaf that the little baby long neck eats and the magical land in the end?) Anyway, here are some pictures of this wonderfully moist day. The first one is land before time characters, not my family.

Sorry, I went a little crazy on the pictures, but OMG, SOOO pretty. Spring in Oregon is truly spectacular, through all it's cloudy, stormy wonderful greenness. I hope that you all have the chance to witness it firsthand someday.

Loves,

MT

Ahhh! Tent!

So I just learned that one should never open a tent to just try to figure out how to put it up....especially when it is a new tent and still in its original packaging. Let me tell you why. When taking down the tent, one has the false expectation that it is possible to fit it back into the original case...which is a huge lie. This is not possible....at all, and one will waste much time trying to get it to fit into the tiny, tiny, tiny case...when one should just accept the fact that it wont and give up.

Biggest Tent Eva!

O my gosh....I just finished putting up the tent...and it fills my living room. It is the biggest tent ever! Yikes......I can stand up in it with room to spare.....so so big. Ahhhh!

Apologies!

Why hello there my little spirit children!

I know I haven't blogged in forever, and I greatly apologize for that. I hope to do much better in the future. I'm at my uncle's in Sacramento right now, until Saturday, so I can't upload pictures. I was hoping to do a fashion blog but I guess that will have to wait until I get home and can use my computer. This week has been very good for me. I've been getting at least 9 hours of sleep a night, despite crying children being thrown into my lap at 7:50 a.m.. I've also been able to eat edible food that comes in such an amazing variety. I made my first PB&J in a while and it was incredible! Also, I've realized that I've developed this really bad habit since being at school. I tend to gorge myself until I feel like I'm going to throw up. I think it's because I have this need to eat everything in front of me until it is finished. So I'm on a quest to cure this bad habit. I've been eating a normal amount and not filling myself up too much. Except for tonight, I am guilty of eating 3 ears of corn, 2 servings of salad, two pieces of steak, two servings of macaroni salad, a serving of greens, 3 brownies, and some other stuff that I can't remember because I ate so much (now it's making me hungry, i might have a late night snack). I'm working on this though. Also, I'm proud to announce that I almost reached the freshman 15! I came to school weighing about 140 lbs and now I weigh around 160 (157 approximately).  I've always wanted to gain weight and now I have, finally. Hopefully I can do it much healthier in the future. I plan to join a dojang this summer and continue my Taekwondo skillage. This way, I can turn my fat into muscle. So watch out! Hiya! Furthermore, being inspired by Ali, I've gone into a somewhat of a detox. I plan to not smoke or drink this summer (we'll see how long this lasts) and read more and do things that promote overall wellbeing (wow do I sound like a complete idiot right now). This way I can come back refreshed and ready for our endless vacations. So as I miss you all too much, I think I am finally ready to say goodbye to California for a while and see what the East Coast has in store for me this summer. But don't worry, I have everyone's addresses and I just bought a book of stamps, so expect mail from me at some point this summer. And there's always modern means of communication such as facebook and email. Until next time...

Besos y abrazos,
Brice

Sasquatch!...almost

Hello Everyone!

Today is my last day home before Sasquatch!!!!! And I'm stoked. Sadly, I have tons of things left to do/get before 9:30am tomorrow. I am trying to figure out how to set up our new tent as we speak....I'm not very good with tents......
Tomorrow is also the day when two cultures collide: my friends from home get to meet Mary and Ali!! I'm sure all will be fine, but for some silly reason I can't help but be a bit nervous. Nevertheless, I can't wait to see them again. I'm excited to hear stories of Mexico.
I'm having a hard time deciding which bands to see.....there are some tough choices. For example: Okkervil River or M.I.A.....I'm pretty sure I'll go for M.I.A., but I was super stoked to see Okkervil River.

On a different note, it rained here today and it made me extremely happy. I also got a pedi from my friend Jaxi and JoAnna finally got into town. I also got to see Jonathan Driggers.......which made me happy (he is they guy who sent me the letters with the paper snowflake made out of coffee cups and beans and the dollar bill ring...remember him?).

It amazes me how indecisive I am ;) and how easy it is to harbor two contradictory feelings so easily....more on that at a later date...

I miss you all so much.

Good luck exploring the infinite abyss,

Kyrstin

Revolution

Okay beezies!
We have only been out of school for around 5 days and already the blogging is slacking!! Come on! I have faith in you guys (and I also know that it is impossible for you all to be so busy that you can't find time to blog). Okay, I hope you all feel bad now and have learned your lesson (and Brice, at least Ali and Laina are out of the country! You have no excuse).
Moving on,
So I am in Seattle right now visiting Kelsey at UW. It has been pretty dang fun so far. I can't believe that this school is so HUGE! I came up on Monday and we went to an open mic at a coffee shop, it was mucho funo, and I ordered (from a tots def adrob coffee guy) some blended chai thing that was delisch my nish. ( I have no idea how you would spell that but I hope you got it).
Yesterday we went to Vietnamese Food and I got Pho (represent what what!) and then we went to a "concert" of sorts, in a "house" of sorts in some random place in Seattle and saw this cool guy play named Paul Baribeau. The place had no electricity so the show as in candle light! It was awesome.
I bought a CD and a Green T-shirt from the merch table ( which was an old sewing machine table that was some how illuminate by a lamp). I was going to wear the t-shirt today but i put it on after my shower and it smelled like stale cigarettes, while this does add to the charm, I am going to wait and wear it after I wash it.
Today I am going with her to a class about Alfred Hitchcock and we're watching the birds..ohhh....and then craft night!

I hope all is going well for you,
I love you and miss you to a bazillion pieces,
From the land of smoked salmon and fresh markets,
Kailey

Our lives are so boring apart....

Hello my many scattered friends!

I know it isn't my day to blog, but I wanted to make up for my last crappy blog....plus I finally got my wireless internet up, so I can actually stay online for more than 2 seconds.

I have been extremely busy lately....but nothing really blog worthy. Lets see....I have been working a lot...I did a 13 hr day a couple days ago, which kinda sucks...but the tips have been great!

Last night I almost made an emergency trip to Billings at midnight....let me explain...BOYS ARE STUPID. My good friend JoAnna flew into Billings last night, where her guy friend (I'm not exactly sure what to call him) who lives there was supposed to pick her up. She was planning on chilling with him until Thursday, when they would then drive up to Helena and then we would go to Sas. So at 11:40pm, I get a call from Jo who is sobbing in the airport bathroom saying that Turner didn't show up and won't answer his phone, so she is stranded at the airport. I promptly hopped in my car and took off driving to Billings (after stocking up on coffee drinks). About half way there (around Bozeman for all of you who are familiar with MT geography), around 1:15am, I get a call saying that Turner finally remembered to pick her up and was on his way to get her at the airport....3 hours late....... So I turned around and headed back home....again, boys are stupid. That has probably been the most exciting thing that has happened to me since I have been back....awesome isn't it.

On a deeper note, I have decided to try and be more positive about life and to try and live in the moment more often....I has been going well so far, thankfully it isn't that hard to do when Montana is so beautiful right now. I'll take some pics in the next few days to show y'all.

Good luck exploring the infinite abyss of summer,

Kyrstin

Friendulas

To all my favorite friendulas,

This is the first Monday that we've all been apart. So far, my summer has been underwhelming. I miss each and every one of you lots and lots. Also, I lost my phone the other day :( I know, I know. I am ridiculous. I am a loser. I also lost my I <3 SF water bottle and new gold earring... thoroughly disappointing. So I won't be answering phone calls/ text messages until I can figure something out. It's especially sad because when I saw my brother the other day I learned that his old phone is the same as the one that Kyrstin gave me, so I took the back of that one. Now I will probably end up using that phone to replace the one I lost, and it will have no back again. Hahahah, NOT. So Kailey called me on my HOME phone today, and among other pointless conversation, proceeding to tell me: "Sometimes when I'm talking on the phone I smile too much and hang up on people" hahahahhahahaha. Wow.

Also, good news from Silverton! Goodwill reopened and now everything is $2.99 or 5/$10! What can I say, I pride myself in my optimism, lol, jokes.

Anyway, I am going through a bad combination of friend withdraws and family overload which results in my looking at pictures and being sad and bored. Here are some goodies that hadn't found their way from the depths of my camera yet but are def worth seeing :)

I love you guys and really truly do miss seeing your faces every single day. I hope you are having fun on your various adventures and can't wait to hear from/see you all before too long!!
