Another Day Another Dollar

Dear Colleagues and Communists,
It has recently come to my attention that something quite important has occurred. How this something passed by without much notice is a surprise, (well actually it isn't now that I think of it) but we are currently doing something that has never been witnessed by mankind before. We are in 2009. Waoh! Let's just wait a cotton pickin' moment here. What happened to 2008, it was a good year, and I wish it could still be with us. But nothing lasts now does it. Let's have a moment of silence for 2008......ahh, if only Bette Middler could be here to sing a song and make us all cry into our quilts (I'm sure you're all wrapped in quilts at this moment). While I will miss 2008, I believe it important to set some goals for 09, resolutions if you will. And since they are on the Internet, I will most certainly achieve them all.

2009 Resolutions (in no particular order)
  • If there is an opportunity to have a slushy, take it.
  • Do all the readings for my classes (even those global econ books)
  • Stretch
  • Make extended eye-contact with strangers
  • Post Missed connections on Craigslist about those intimate, eye connection moments with strangers
  • Find more free things on the streets of San Francisco
  • Improve Wit
  • Find Universal Remote (This is still here from 07-08)
  • Put Sriracha sauce on everything
  • Eat Pho once a week, at minimum.
  • Vacuum more often
  • Shed less
  • Work on more crosswords
  • Improve stealth

  • Find new spots in the cit-aye
  • Dress in billowy fabrics and frolic around Golden Gate Park
  • Become best friends with the Bison
  • Be remarked as a prodigy in my West African Dance Class
  • Write a poem and go to open mic
  • Puke Less

Well those are my resolutions as of yet. Feel free to post your own or some comments on the ones listed above. I hope 2009 brings you fertility in your crops and your wombs.
Peace to All,
Queen of the Felines.

i especially like the eye contact/public transportation/ missed connection one, myself. i think i will join you on that one. and the puke less i think is a good one for you. i don't really puke all that much so i'm not going to join you on that one.
