Okay,
So today is my first day as an official blog poster! I know that I did get a little blog crazy when we began, but that was free for all weekend and I was so excited!
So I wasn’t sure what to write about for my first blog and upon thinking of the topic further I came to the conclusion. I decided to write about what has been on my mind lately… and guess what that is?
Life!
So not all of life because that would take forever but mostly just this past year. It is beginning to terrify me that I have only 2ish weeks left in San Francisco until August. I cannot believe that I have almost completed my Freshman year of College. It is bizarre to think that this same time last year I was living with my family in little Gig Harbor. I never could have imagined that I would experience so much in so little time. My year has been great, there have definitely been some challenges but when I look back I am extremely pleased at how it has all turned out. The most important part of my time so far at USF have definitely been my friends. I spent a lot of time with my friends in High school but nothing compared to college standards. Previous to coming to college, I didn't take into account exactly how much time I would spend with the people I live with. It is a strange thought to think that I have seen these people every day sometimes all day for the last 9 months. It will be very weird to go home and work and go maybe days without seeing friends from home and months for friends from school!!!
I am sort of excited to go home for the summer. It will be nice to leave a the city and go back to a smaller town and it will be nice to have my own room and see my friends and family but I really will miss SF and I am very excited to be back in August.
It is a little terrifying to know that I am already 1/4 done with college...and if anything I am more confused than ever about what I want to do. I am pretty confidant with my decision about majoring in Int'l Studies and minoring in European studies, but what I am going to do with that is still completely a mystery. I am a little bit afraid that because I picked this major that does not necessarily have a direct career route I may be screwing myself over for the future, but it is where my passions lie.... and I guess that is what grad school is for anyways! Oh well, I am planning on selling my plasma and first born to pay for USF anyways, may as well go to grad school so I can make some money.
Well this blog ending up being more of a diary entry. I hope it was interesting, it probably wasn't but oh well it is my blogging day! haahahahahahaha
Until this weekend,
Kailey

Ideas for Kailey's Tat
As we've all heard, a tattoo is pretty permanent, so I think that if Kailey does in fact get one, we should all help her out in deciding what to get. Here are some of my suggestions... please add to them:

<3 Laina
PS I just want to say YAY for getting to be the first one to do the official daily blog... or at least the first one to have the honor and actually do it ;-)

Must Watch! Hehehe
This afternoon I was in my room being a good citizen and all by cleaning my room when, unexpectedly, a magical woman appeared to me, Mishy Turner. She took me on an incredible journey to a fantasy place called youtube. There we explored the phenomenon of "I Like Turtles." After having returned from that magical place, I realized that I must share my epic experience with my friends and fellow bloggers. So here it is. Enjoy!

Tribulation

Ah! This is the last chance I will have to Blog before my turn on Wednesday. This weekend was intense. I have never had such a crazy weekend, which unfortunately resulted (or actually not so unfortunately) in no homework being done. I am suppose to be writing a sacred scriptures paper right now, blah...I hate homework. It is an interesting topic though, the historicity of Apocalyptic Literature and how Fundamentalist are insane. Uhm well let's see, I probably wont graduate from college because I can't focus...and finals are coming. Yeah oh well. Just Kidding, I am totally going to get my homework done, who am I kidding, I am in a great books program, I signed up for this extra work! I do not know why, I must be a masochist. I guess this will just be another night of not enough sleep. I know, I know, silly college girl not planning her time well enough...bummer.
Well until Wednesday,
Kailey
Epic Weekend 4/25-4/27
Ok, so I'm aware of the fact that this is the last day of free-for-all blogging and that tomorrow is my assigned day, but I couldn't resist posting after this weekend. This is mostly going to be a photo post (I will send you guys all the pictures, this is just a preview).
Friday:
The inaugural blog post/ creation (Thanks Kailey!!) after an inspiring talk from Seattle based fashion blogger, Jasmine Parks of www.pikepine.com. Kailey, Kyrstin, Laina and I all went crazy blogging in my beautiful room :)

After a morning of nothing but blogging, a friend with a car (a rarity indeed!) took us on our first epic adventure of the weekend. Friday afternoon consisted of lunch at Ike's (OMG, I might be in love with Ike), sliding on the concrete slides in the Castro, a trip up to Twin Peaks to enjoy the breathtaking view of San Francisco on a sunny day and ending downtown with a sunglass shopping trip to Nordstrom.

What a day right? But wait! It doesn't end there!!
Jake and I (MT) took a jaunt to the Mission to see Clarion Alley (!!!) Sooo cool. Here are some of my favorites...

Friday night consisted of some good old best friend bonding, and a couple of memorable firsts (see "The Unofficial SII Events and Happenings: Incest, Rape and Human Sacrifice")
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves

Saturday morning began with our final group trip to the farmers market ( :( !!!) where we all got friendship bracelets and enjoyed another beautiful San Francisco morning at the Embarcadero. After that, we returned home and a group of us babysat Manuel's kids (so cute!) and Laina got attacked by a group of children at the Panhandle Playground (see Kailey's post).
Later that night, we embarked on yet another incredible unofficial SII adventure to the heart of the Presidio where we belted Queen , star gazed and made s'mores around the bonfire. After leaving the woods at about 2:30 am, we found that the nearest bus was miles away. Long story short, we arrived home tired and happy, 2 hours, a couple miles of walking and 2 bus rides (or a cab for Kyrstin) later and collapsed into a satisfying slumber.
Sunday was a day of recovery that involved a lot of sleeping, eating and... a trip to Haight St (!!!!). Secrets :)
Now I think we are all realizing the consequences of uninhibited vacation weekends as our various papers and presentations continue to not be written. Uh oh. I really have to go.
Until tomorrow, I love you San Francisco!!!
Peace,
MT

Fuck Grapefruit.....
Hello World!
I believe that I am the last regular blogger to make her debut...so here I am...!
My boyfriend, Shawn, showed me this webcomic a couple of months ago, which I fell in love with immediately. It is from www.xkcd.com ....you need to check them out, they rock my world.

As soon as I had looked over this chart, I couldn't help but disagreeing.....I like grapefruit....in fact I love it! So I had to make my own chart:

Sorry if it is hard to read.....but I'm sure you get the idea....
Good luck exploring the infinite abyss,
Kyrstin

Why I love SF
What's new in Brice's life
As you all know, my life is so exciting. So i've decided to update you all on the most recent events in my life. I know how anxious you guys are to find out about my latest activities. Here goes...
Earlier in the week I had a lot of work to do. Fortunately, I finished all of it and did a good job completing it. However, I was very disappointed for some time because I was not the first person to find out about the success of my own project. Nevertheless, I have just found out that my project may not be such a success after all. Whatever. So what are my plans for the weekend you ask? Well let's see...Thursday (yesterday) I took a nice walk to outtakes with my friends Maisie, Eve, Anna, and John. I bought $50 worth of food. YUmmmmm. Then I watched the new episode of the office at 9:00. It wasn't as good as last week's but it was still decent. Then I was forced to take shots of alcohol. How inconvenient. The one shot turned into a few drinks which turned into an adventure to the park to smoke. I strongly advise you never to go to the park at 3 in the morning. It was somewhat scary, I almost soiled myself. In case you didn't know, I have a phobia of the dark. Nonetheless, the night turned out to be much fun. Friday: After having class I accompanied Monica for a nice afternoon of shopping. I returned my jeans to Forever 21 (sad, I know). Then we went to H&M, Express, and Walgreens. I worked from 6 to 8. After work I found out that a kid who graduated with me from high school died yesterday. It was a big shock, especially because i had just seen him over Spring Break at a grocery store. Don't take life for granted. Now onto my plans for tonight. I can either go to a bonfire at ocean beach and drink some jungle juice or maybe go to a bar if my friends aren't lame or stay here and do homework and then drink with Addysen. hmmm....what shall I do? Saturday: I have to work from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. I might go downtown to shop again, but this time with Maisie. Then I shall work on homework all day and night (very exciting, I know). Sunday: I have to get up early to work at 8a.m. to 10p.m. Crazy, right? I've had this odd obsession with working lately. It's good though because I'm making a lot of money. Can't wait until Thursday- Pay Day! After work, I plan to do more homework then attend the student mass at 9:00 p.m. Then I'll finish my homework and go to bed. Okay I think I've written enough. Adios muchachos.

San Francisco

Three great places in San Francisco!
1) City Lights Book Store. We are all in the Great Books Program meaning we all loove books and henceforth looooove book stores! This one is awesome! I still love Powell's the most :)
2) Lone Mountain. Although it is some 105 steps up, it has one of the best views on campus.
3). This is just a really cool building on the way to the Embarcadero. It is directly across from a fully window covered building so when the sun hits just right there is an awesome reflection.

Sunny Days in Golden Gate Park
4/20: Golden Gate Park Brett Dennen and the Yonder Mountain String Band
Well boys and girls, this was certainly a sunny Sunday to remember. After a week of cold and windy weather, we got extremely lucky to get some sunshine to go along with our good music and second hand weed :)
